Ysave and Eliavres spend merry forbidden nights inside the fortified tower
La petite histoire :
Ysave, la mère de Caradoc, est enfermée dans une tour pour avoir trompé son mari, roi de Vannes, avec l’enchanteur Eliavrès. Mais bien que la tour soit solidement fortifiée et gardée, Eliavrès n’a aucun mal, de par sa magie, à rendre visite à son amie. Lorsqu’il vient la voir, on remarque une ambiance joyeuse régner dans la tour, on entend de la musique, si bien que celle-ci est rebaptisée par les passants « Tour du Joyeux Vacarme ».
Plus tard, pour se venger de Caradoc qui les a fait tous deux punir pour leur relation adultère - dont il est le fruit, ceux-ci font en sorte qu’il soit mordu par un serpent qui restera accroché à son bras pendant plus de deux ans. Ceci lui vaudra plus tard son surnom de « Caradoc Court-Bras ».

The little story :
Ysave, Caradoc's mother, is locked in a tower for cheating on her husband, the king of Vannes, with the wizard Eliavres. But although the tower is strongly fortified and guarded, Eliavres has no trouble, thanks to his magic, to visit his friend. When he comes to see her, a joyful atmosphere reigns in the tower, and music is heard by astonished passers-by.
Later on, in order to take revenge on Caradoc, who had them both punished for their adulterous relationship - of which he was the fruit - they made sure that he was bitten by a snake that would remain attached to his arm for over two years.
